The Advisory Board / Volunteer Members for Minnesota Recruiters is responsible for setting the overall strategy and direction for the community, in addition to setting content and agendas for our events and conferences.

With 22 years of human resources and talent acquisition leadership experience, Jason Buss is a recognized expert with deep experience in identifying, recruiting and hiring high-performing teams. He is currently the vice president of talent acquisition for MongoDB.
Jason has authored and published content in, and has been quoted by The Huffington Post, Fast Company, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Society for Human Resource Management, Corporate Executive Board and more.
He is the founder of the Recruiters Network, and serves as the president and community leader for several of the nations largest and most active regional recruiting communities including Minnesota Recruiters, California Recruiters, Florida Recruiters, Wisconsin Recruiters, Michigan Recruiters and Oregon Recruiters.

Tiffany Kuehl is the Sr. Human Resources Recruiter with Versique Search & Consulting. She has 20 years of experience in HR & talent acquisition within hospitality, non-profit, financial services and manufacturing industries. In addition to her day job, Tiffany has spent more than 10 years volunteering in leadership roles with the Twin Cities Human Resource Association (TCHRA), an affiliate chapter of SHRM, where she most recently served as President and is currently the Director-Elect for the MNSHRM State Council.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and completed the Organizational Management and Human Resources graduate program at Concordia University in St. Paul. Tiffany is a die-hard MN Twins fan and can frequently be spotted at Target Field grooming her son to be a Twins fan and tweeting from her chair. #GoTwins!
Robert Hoefer Rob is a Talent Acquisition Sourcer at Best Buy, where he finds candidates for their growing Information Technology department. He manages Best Buy’s Talent Acquisition social media platforms, is considered a LinkedIn SME, is involved in University Recruiting, attends hackathons, and loves participating in recruiting events.
Rob has 11 plus years in Recruiter/Staffing/Talent Acquisition and has been Sourcing for about 7 years. He has 4 years of experience running a corporate recruiting social media strategy. Rob has worked for Cargill, Accenture, Supervalu, UnitedHealth Group and Levi Strauss & Co.
Born and raised in Minnesota, he received his bachelor’s degree from St Cloud State, where he started his career in Human Resources as an Intern in the HR Department. He has also been an avid volunteer at The Walker Art Center since 2008 as an Information Guide.
Tara is the Talent Acquisition Specialist at Spok, Inc. (pronounced “spoke”), where she recruits talented individuals within the critical communications technology industry. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, she worked at Target HQ and at Northwestern Mutual – The Columns Resource Group, where she managed all the hiring for the Network Office as well as recruitment, training, and retention for Financial Advisors. She even worked with her own husband! Tara has a strong passion for recruiting and focuses on the candidate experience, as well as ensuring the fit is *always* right for both the candidate and the company.
Tara brings over 15 years of recruiting experience, and is excited by the opportunity to meet and learn from new people and share her ideas with others!
Josh Rock is a Recruiting Specialist with Fairview Health Services. He has 13 years in Talent Acquisition and recruitment marketing, where he’s partnered with Minnesota’s small businesses & Fortune 500 across the US.
Josh is an active volunteer leader with the MNSHRM State Council, serving currently as the College Relations Director. He also is the Lead Moderator of #JobHuntChat, a Twitter-based advice chat that serves job seekers across the US & Canada each Monday night.
Born & raised in Minnesota, Josh attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He has three talented children (Sami, Cullen & Brayden) and is an avid hockey fan.
Adam is a managing director at Salo, LLC. His self motivation and self-management skills have led him through many successful years in attracting, selecting and managing recruitment processes for numerous Fortune 500 organizations. As managing director of Salo’s human resources business development team, Adam continues to positively impact and drive key organizational strategies.
Prior to joining Salo, Adam worked for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans where he managed the regional financial office attraction and selection process, while exceeding hiring expectations. Adam continued to polish his matchmaking expertise to support such companies as UnitedHealth Group and Ameriprise Financial, where he trained, developed and managed more than ninety recruiters, sourcers and support staff members.
Adam received his Bachelor’s degree from Augsburg College. When he isn’t spending time with his children, Cole, Ella and Addyson, Adam enjoys golfing and playing baseball with his son.
Kate Bischoff is an energetic and enthusiastic attorney and SHRM-SCP human resources professional, who advises employers in a wide range of industries on employment law matters from recruitment to termination and beyond. Kate’s recruiting experience comes from her experience as the Human Resources Officer for the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem and U.S. Embassy Zambia – two places where recruiting presents interesting challenges. With this experience, Kate understands the business needs of recruiters and looks for practical and compliant solutions.
A self-professed technology geek, Kate is particularly passionate about the use and impact of social media and technology in the workplace. You can find her tweeting about technology and human resources from her office, her home, and just about everywhere in between.
Ryan Stene, a proven recruitment strategist, is the Talent Acquisition Capability Manager with Best Buy. With more than 12 years of recruitment marketing, strategy and technology experience, he has worked with some of the largest brands in the US. Ryan and his team are responsible for the recruiting operations at Best Buy, which include all processes (corporate, retail, university and executive recruiting), vendor management, employment branding, recruiting technology and attraction strategy for both Corporate and Retail groups.
Ryan is in the area he feels most passionate about, consulting and helping Best Buy recruit better, smarter and more effectively. Ryan brings a consultative approach and understanding what makes them unique and drives to enhance and evolve their recruitment strategy. Ryan develops recruitment media solutions that are both strategically focused and tactically driven. He has been a part of MN Recruiters since our inception and loves being a part of such an amazing community of talent professionals.
